NIOS Admission 2020:- The National Institute of Open Schooling has invited applications once again due to covid – 19 corona virus pandemic from interested and qualified applicants for admission in 10th and 12th Open Inter.

These applications have been called for the academic session 2020-21. Applicants can take admission in these classes through Block 2 of Stream 2.

This stream is open to new applicants. These applicants will be able to give public examinations organized by the Institute for the first time in October 2021.

It is noteworthy that CBSE started the National Open School in 1979. In 2002, the Ministry of Human Resource Development revised it and renamed it the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS).

NIOS Admission: What is the eligibility?

For admission in class 10th of National Institute of Open Schooling, applicants must have a pass certificate of class VIII or Date of Birth Certificate.

At the same time, to get admission in class 12th of NIOS, the applicants must be passed the secondary exam i.e., class 10th examination from a recognized board.

Applicants should have a copy of the 10th-grade passing certificate for this. Also, this copy of the certificate must be attested by a gazetted officer.

Along with these educational qualifications, the NIOS has also set an age limit for applicants seeking admission in 10th & 12th.

Under this, the applicants desirous of entering the secondary course i.e., Class 10, should be 14 years old.

For the admission in class 12th, the applicants should be 15 years of age on 31 January 2020 i.e., their date of birth is mandatory on or before 31 January.

Interested applicants must read all educational and other qualifications before applying.

NIOS ADMISSION 2020 Last Date: You can apply until 31 July 2020.

Must be 14 years old for the 10th of Admission.

Applicants should be 15 years of age for admission in class 12th on 31 January 2020.

You will not be able to submit the application form even after 31 July 2020 with late fees.

Six hundred will have to be paid as an admission fee for every additional subject.

NIOS Admission: How to apply

Applicants desirous of getting admission in class 10th and 12th of National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) can apply online by visiting the Institute’s website http://www.nios.ac.in/.

  • First, applicants have to register on the site of the Institute through an email ID and password.
  • After that, they have to fill the online admission form and attach their photograph.
  • The applicants will also have to provide the correct postal address where the Institute can send them ICard and self-learning material etc.
  • Along with filling the application form, applicants will also have to submit registration fees. This fee can be deposited through credit card, debit card, or net banking.

What is the admission fee

Applicants will also have to pay admission fees for admission in class 10th and 12th of NIOS.

For male applicants, the admission fee for all the five subjects of class 10th will be Rs 1485.

For all five subjects of class 12th, a deposit of Rs.1650 has to be made.

For female applicants, the admission fee for all the five subjects of class 10 will be Rs. 1210 and the fee for all the five subjects of class 12th will be Rs. 1375.

For SC / ST, ex-servicemen, PWD category applicants, the fee for all five subjects of class 10th will be Rs 990, and for class 12th, the fee will be Rs 1075.

All categories of applicants will have to pay Rs 600 for each additional subject. This admission fee will not include examination fees. Applicants will have to submit this fee separately.

NIOS ADMISSION 2020: These are important dates.

Applicants willing and eligible for admission in Class 10 and Class 12 of the National Institute of Open Schooling can apply online for admission in Block 2 of Stream 1 with no late fee till 31 July 2020.

Block 2 of Stream 2 of the National Institute of Open Schooling will be held in October or November 2021, which these applicants will give for the first time.
